To promote their sponsorship of the 'China Design Now' exhibition at the V& A Museum London, HSBC commissioned 2LK Design to create a graphic display to be located in the foyer of their London head offices - Canary Wharf, and designd to travel to other venues. The display's primary purpose was to promote the event and to feature a key item of artwork that consisted of an intricate, extremely fragile (and valuable!) work of paper cut art - a traditional Chinese technique, but with a modern twist.
A core requirement was that the display should be viewed from all angles and be visible through the main windows for those passing outside the building. Our solution was to create a display structure that reflected key themes of the event, both in its materials, architectural style and graphic messaging.
The structure implemented the style & 'neon' theme of the exhibition in all aspects of its form - from the materials used, the colours adopted and the graphics applied.
